Day 3 at the Cash Game Festival – Pokernews.com Facebook Live, Pineapple Open-Face Chinese Poker & More!

Day 3 of the Cash Game Festival was like a cold glass of fresh pineapple juice served at a pineapple open-face Chinese poker table. Namely, players and the team were happy and relaxed. There was definitely a lot of smiling going on. Must be the sunny weather, or the fact that the festival guests simply know how to enjoy life. We would like to think that the latter is accurate. Moreover, we add our personal touch to everything we do. We love our job. This is not just work for us. This our life-style. Another reason to smile.
As usual, we had some early morning poker action going on in the poker room. Namely, a big Omaha table with 1000s of euros going into the pot, was running till the early hours of Friday. Of course, the Cash Game Festival’s traditional Sviten Special game lasted all night, ending at around 6:30 A.M. in the morning.
The normal working day here in Nova Gorica started with a meeting at Perla Hotel’s spa at 1 P.M. How else would one get a punch of sleepy team members up before 1 P.M. in the afternoon? One needs to be a little gentle at times. We love our boss. That’s for sure.
For dinner, we went to a restaurant called On’Italy. This place is a hidden gem on a street where one would normally not expect to find good food and a nice atmosphere. Our hostess there was the warm and adorable Adriana who loves her work and cares about her customers. See Day 3 photo album on our Facebook page to see some wonderful shots of the hospitality event.
The first TV table of the day started at €1/€2 no limit hold’em. The second started at €5/€5 no limit hold’em. Our star Brandon Allen successfully entertained us all, and had a guest or two in his commentator booth, including My Little Slots of SlotsMillion. A pineapple open-face Chinese poker table opened in Perla’s Poker Room at around 10 P.M. It is only the second time this game was played at the Cash Game Festival event. The first time was in London last year. To celebrate the opening of the table, we got a fresh pineapple straight from the casino’s kitchen. Very Hawaii of us. We thank the wonderful Petra Winkler for giving us the access to Perla Hotel’s kitchen. The pineapple is safe and sound, back in the kitchen were it belongs.

Jason Glatzer from Pokernews.com was doing Facebook live straight from the “pineapple table”. We cannot remember (and cannot confirm because Jason is still asleep) the exact view counts. Finally, we spotted a classy bright lady among the men-filled poker tables. An Estonian Elora Kask was sitting at the table, playing pineapple open-face Chinese. We had a chance to have a quick chat with her (Skinny Bitch cocktails later on but this is another story …) She loves playing open-face Chinese. She is not much into other poker games. She heard about the Cash Game Festival through a friend last year. They were living in Malta at the time when the CGF went to Malta in 2016. She heard that there were other Estonians at the festival, so she and her husband went to check the festival out. She likes our events. Namely because everyone she has met so far, has been great. According to her, the Cash Game Festival crowd consists of open and nice people to whom it is easy to talk to. “They take the festival seriously, but not super seriously. They are also about having fun,” she accurately put it.
Our Saturday’s side activity is a party at the casino’s Pulse Arena, starting at around 10 P.M. at night. Can’t wait to chat, dance and have drinks with the wonderful people who have found their way to our festival. We consider ourselves very lucky, indeed!
