Day 3 of the Cash Game Festival – Casino’s Record Beaten, Maxime Sharing Bread Rolls at 3:30 AM & Ryan Davey Twitch Give-Away Coming Up

Day 3 of the Cash Game Festival started, to some, with early hours in Casino Sunborn poker room. The day started calm and slightly cloudy with a slight promise of rain, threatening to ruin the roof top VIP dinner plans. However, we were lucky to get no rain, and got to enjoy dinner with some sun peeking through the clouds, watching airplanes taking off and landing at the Gibraltar airport, as the runway was just next to the dinner venue.

Day 3 was the record day in terms of poker. After the VIP dinner with partners and players, the poker room quickly filled with people. New casino record was established with eight cash game tables running simultaneously at around 11 PM at night.

Betsafe’s Ambassador Monika Zukowicz from Poland, co-hosted the first TV table stream of the day with Brandon Allen in his commentary booth. The talented poker girl just graduated as a pharmacist and considers the profession as her back up plan in case she gets tired of playing. For now, she is travelling the world for poker, playing cards and working for Betsafe. Gibraltar stop is her first Cash Game Festival experience. She loves it and is now hoping to travel to Malta stop as well. For her, becoming a poker player meant that she could not always be genuine with her friends from “her previous life”. People just don’t understand how somebody can lose as much money in one night that, for some, takes an entire month to earn. This is creating the gap between her and her old friends, according to Monika. However, she is finding new friends in the poker industry and, for now, has definitely made peace with her new life-style. She has also gathered a solid following on social media because she plays well and is one of the warmest persons we have ever met. We are hoping that she will start vlogging her life. She is considering it. Just needs to make up her mind about some technological aspect of vlogging, such as choosing suitable video edit software, her schedule.

“Have a roll!”, and the poker table roared with laughter. Namely, at around 3:30 AM Cash Game Festival, Maxime (in the top image) is playing card at the jolliest poker table ever. He gets hungry, so he gets up to fetch some snacks from his bag. He returns with individually packaged bread rolls of questionable quality (Mind, that he is French!). He then kindly offers the bread to everyone. Despite not being hungry, the players accepted the rolls just for the sake of it, eating and laughing at the same time. Kjetil, the vice president of the Norwegian Poker Federation, and Peter, the CTO at Playtech Games Innovation Lab, finished their rolls nice and neat. Whereas Knut, a Gibraltar-based Norwegian player, found it too dry to finish. “You accept my food, you eat it!”, exclaimed Maxime. This was the best poker table of the night in terms of the social experience, or so it seemed.
Pay attention! For the first time in Cash Game Festival history, a player is doing a give-away during Twitch live stream. Namely, Ryan Davey will be giving away 15% of his action on the feature table on the early stream. This means 15% of any profits he makes, will be given to one lucky winner in the chat during Twitch steam. Ryan loves the stream, having been in the commentary booth w Brandon for several times, and wants to spice up things a little. So, go to the 6 PM (Gibraltar time) stream, say hi and see Ryan trying to win you some money. What an awesome guy he is.

Now it is time for the pool party. However, at 10 PM, all of us will gather for the VIP party. Saturday nights are always reserved for fierce partying at each Cash Game Festival stop. A promising night ahead. See you soon!
