Poker Tour – Rewind and Forward to 2018. Let’s meet in London!

What started as a local cash game festival in Tallinn, Estonia, has now become a rapidly growing European-wide poker tour. After the impressive number of flight miles covered and casino floors walked, the Cash Game Festival (CGF) team can say that year 2017 has taken the company to the next level. With 9 successful stops completed in 2017, year 2018 is going to be even busier.
Soon, it’s time to kick off the poker tour! On January 3rd-7th, we will be in London again. If you’re ready for 24/7 cash games then you’ll want to join in on CGF. During the festival, you can expect low and high-stakes games but, of course, it’s not just about poker. You’ll get to enjoy good food, fierce partying, off-the-felt activities, and spending time with interesting poker-loving people just like you. The festival will take place at the grand Aspers Casino Stratford and starts on January 3rd with welcome drinks at 5PM.
Like always, London stop features live online TV tables. The poker action can be viewed on Twitch via www.twitch.tv/cashgamefestival at 6PM & 9PM London time during the 5-day poker event. There will be 10 TV table sessions in total. If there are any deviations from the usual schedule, we’ll let you know on our Facebook and Twitter.
What It’s All About?

The CGF is a poker tour organized by people who are passionate about poker and traveling. The festival was born in 2014 when a Swedish man, an entrepreneur, a poker lover and a traveling addict, Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk (Simply know as Franke) had a great vision on how to take poker community by storm, subsequently founding a company in Estonia together with Enri Orav, then a poker pro, now Betsafe’s Poker Manager. The company was named the Cash Game Festival. The aim of the CGF is to offer a nice venue for cash game players – good games mixed with fun social activities and networking, so that players can fully enjoy the social experience of poker.
In the founders’ mind, there was a gap in the poker market that needed to be filled. Namely, the poker world offers a wide variety of tournaments but not all players are interested in the rigorous process of tournament poker. Very often, tired of online games and live tournaments, they simply want to play good games and meet interesting people. However, sometimes it is hard to find a suitable venue for that. More often than not, their local casinos or poker clubs offer a limited variety of games and their clientele is largely the same, stripping the players of the chance of playing exciting games and meeting new people. So, the CGF is aiming to fill the gap left by online poker, local casinos and poker clubs.
The CGF offers 24/7 cash games throughout its 5-day live events in different locations all across Europe. These festivals are spiced up with fine dining, fierce partying and several other activities that introduce local sights and culture. In addition, these festivals offer live online broadcasts straight from feature tables that are set up in CGF host casinos. These live poker streams are run by a professional production team and hosted by a commentator, and can be viewed on Twitch.
The CGF is also a friendly venue for the festival’s Partners as the principle of zero tolerance towards competitive behavior is in place. The partners are expected to be respectful of each other’s businesses and cannot undermine the competitors’ efforts in any way. This relaxed atmosphere is creating a unique environment for the companies to meet and network.
The CGF also offers hospitality packages. The partner qualifiers, players who buy the package and other special guests, can take part of daily social activities such as fine dining, parties etc. Moreover, depending on the festival location, players are treated to more adventurous activities as well, such as adventure parks, pool parties, shooting ranges, local tours, catamaran rides etc.
As mentioned earlier, the CGF poker tour was born in 2014 in a small country of Estonia that is bordered by the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Finland. After two years of successful local cash game events in Tallinn, we packed our bags and went on the first successful international tour in 2016. The tour kicked off at Aspers Casino in London, followed by Casino Malta in Malta. The third stop was at Platinum Casino in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. At the end of September 2016, we returned to London for the second time before finishing the year off back home in Tallinn at the brand new Olympic Park Casino. It’s been quite a ride!
