Day 4 in Malta – Celebrating Champagne Day & Focus on Our Twitch

Day 4 in Malta started calm and sunny. Our Twitch “ninja” star Brandon Allen was at the casino early, trying to get some  poker action in before his Twtich stream. He said that he could simply not sit around, doing nothing. He likes being active.
The first Twitch TV table of the day was €1/€2 no-limit hold’em and featured a married couple from Latvia, Sergey and Luba. Luba is working in Malta while Sergey is still living and working in Latvia. Luckily, his schedule allows him to visit his wife very often. They make a positive and fun couple who, no doubt, can make it work despite the distance. Playing poker is their hobby, something that they do outside their day jobs. They loved their TV table experience. “We felt like stars!” they were laughing.

The second TV table of the day was also €1/€2 no-limit hold’em, an exception to the rule of later TV tables being with higher stakes. Tristan Chevalier, a young French living in Malta, was the biggest winner of the TV table. This was his second big TV table win. Will there be more today? Tristan is a cool guy. He loves poker, plays it well, and also love playing football in his free time.

While other were are the VIP pool party, Jason Glatzer from Pokernews.com stayed at the casino and frequented Brandon’s commentary booth. Later, after Jason’s last appearance on our Twitch live stream, Brandon was raving about how good Jasons commentary was in terms of analyzing the game. Brandon exclaimed that he wished to have the kind of commentary style Jason had. “I’m just a funny guy!” he sighed to his chat after Jason had left the booth.
But we do appreciate the way Brandon is commenting. He is super positive, has excellent chat, manages to come up with something funny all the time. In short, Brandon is a natural.

His commentary and our whole Twitch show got recently reviewed in a blog by a player from London who, in addition to reviewing Cash Game Festival Twitch stream, promised to register for the TV table when we are in London again.

Remember! Today, on Sunday, Brandon is going to play on the earlier TV table and the pro poker girl Monika, also known as @heymonia is going to take over his commentary seat. Apparently, Brandon is a little nervous about his TV table appearance, despite the stakes being low. Let’s see how the TV table feature turns out for him. His wife did very well on our live TV table in Gibraltar, winning a huge pot. Good luck, buddy!

While players were competing at TV tables and the action was picking up at the side tables, those with the hospitality package were partying on the 19th floor of the Intercontinental Hotel at a VIP pool party, enjoying champagne, the view and the sunset. Later, at around 11 PM, when they returned from the roof top party, the action in Casino Malta’s poker room got even more heated.
